If a problem requires extensive repair, specialist parts or substantial extra time, Reuben will explain the options before any additional charge is incurred.

When suitability cannot be confirmed remotely, an on-site assessment is available for $80. This is credited toward the tuning price if the service proceeds.

Tuning starts from $200. The final price depends on travel, the piano's condition and any additional work. Pricing is confirmed before work begins.
How long does an appointment take?
Allow approximately three to four hours. A piano that needs significant pitch correction or minor repairs may take longer.
How often should a piano be tuned?
Most household pianos should be tuned every 12 months. New pianos and instruments receiving heavy daily use may benefit from tuning every six months.
What if my piano is far below pitch?
A pitch correction may be possible where the instrument is in serviceable condition. It can require additional work, and a follow-up tuning may be recommended for the best stability.
Can every piano be tuned?
Not always. Significant rust, loose tuning pins, structural damage or long-term neglect can prevent a stable, worthwhile result. The piano is assessed before work begins.
Do you tune both upright and grand pianos?
Yes. Enquiries are welcome for upright and grand pianos in homes, schools, churches, studios and performance venues.
What is the cancellation policy?
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations may incur a $50 fee, and a $50 call-out fee applies if access is unavailable at the appointment time.
